Walter White's passion for photography began in childhood. Late one autumnal night young Walt stole the family camera in order to shoot some fog that had attracted his attention; a waste of film, in the judgment of his irate father.

Nonetheless, Walter's passion was ignited. It necessarily smouldered a little during the three years that he spent studying environmental science at university, but having established that academia could manage very well without his input, he was free to feed his enthusiasm for looking and photographing.

It was during the 'Madchester' heyday that the twenty-one year old Walter served his 'apprenticeship', assisting music, commercial and advertising photographers in the northwest of England. A year of working on yachts around the Mediterranean was followed by a move to London, where he completed a one year vocational course at the London College of Printing and worked a stint as a Black and White printer.

For the last fourteen years Walter White has been a freelance photographer working in the Editorial, Advertising and Press/PR fields. His clients have included Saatchi and Saatchi, British Vogue, British Elle, Arena, Harpers and Queen, The Independent on Sunday, The Sunday Times and The Observer, as well as a variety of other publications, record companies and agencies.

When not on location, he is based in North West London and when not shooting, enjoys cooking, cricket and watching the world...
